• Question: we live with oxygen but die under water, fish live in water and die out in the open. Why is this?

      Hi Ellie,

      As humans, we have a pulmonary respiratory system that allows us to breathe on Earth. However, most fishes have gill respiratory system which allows them to collect oxygen from the water and to release carbon dioxide.
      If you really like to weird animal species, please have a look at Dipnoi or lungfish, a very primitive fish
