Depends what you are doing. VR works best for some games, consoles for others. PCs best for writing and those sort of tasks.

We have a massive screen at work … I am tempting to bring a console ( I have a Wii)

I haven’t tried VR yet but I’d like to. I used to have a console and spent far too long playing with it, I am tempted to get another one just so I could buy rock band…
I have had PC’s or something similar for all of my life (and I think they are far more versatile and have allways liked strategy games (I still play civilisation.)

Having said all this a friend of mine worked at microsoft for a bit and used the Xbox to make human/computer interfaces to help doctors in operating theatres, so I suppose they can be versatitle too.
