Thank you for this question. Honestly, no, but I haven’t planned my career as it stands today. When I was at school I don’t think I learn’t anything about marine biology and in fact I cant remember much about biology at GCSE at all. I go to as many lectures as I can at work and there are quite a few about fish genomics for example and I find them interesting. If I had been informed more when I was younger than perhaps I would. Having said all this I do find octopodes very interesting and would like to study them. My current work is based on pathogenic bacteria and I really enjoy it so I would like to keep working with bacteria, but there is always the possibility to work with marine bacteria, I don’t know much about them but I’m sure they must be pretty interesting. I think knowing the full breadth of life existing in the Earths oceans would be a challenging and facinating thing to do though. What about you is that what you want to do?

Yes it is what I want to do, thank you for answering my question, I find your work so interesting as bacteria and the studies that it includes.

Thanks, no problem. If there’s anything else just ask.
