I’m not sure that I know exactly what you’re asking so please ask again if I go in the wrong direction..
I love studying genetics. To me, it seems like trying to understand the very heart of life on earth, trying to understand the code which makes us what we are.
I also really enjoy studying how genetics has an impact on people’s lives, that’s probably what interests me most now. I wanted to be a scientist to make a difference, to make peoples lives better, especially those who have genetic diseases.
To me, it doesn’t end when you finish an experiment, when you know “the answer”, because you still have to get that answer to somehow have an impact on how healthcare is done – that’s what I work on now, trying to get the science into the healthcare system.
